Many people are feared dead after an explosion ripped through a bus station on the outskirts of Nigeria's capital, Abuja.
Initial reports say at least 20 people were killed, with many others injured and rushed to local hospitals following the blast at Nyanya bus terminal, as people traveled to work Monday.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast, but suspicion fell on the Islamist militant group Boko Haram, which often attacks public areas like markets and schools.
The militants are suspected in weekend attacks that killed at least 60 people in Borno state. Nigerian newspapers report that assailants attacked two villages at night, killing residents in their homes and setting fire to houses and shops.
Boko Haram has been blamed for thousands of deaths since launching an insurgency against the government in 2009. Amnesty International said two weeks ago that 1,500 people have died in Boko Haram-related violence this year.
