South African President Jacob Zuma resigned Wednesday, a day before the Parliament was expected to pass a no-confidence vote to remove him from power. Also Wednesday, the country's elite police unit raided the home of a controversial business family linked to the embattled president. The raid is seen as part of the pressure to force Zuma to stand down after nine years in power. VOA's Zlatica Hoke has more.
